Hi, is this from around the shaft? if so a seal is fitted to this, it is easily replaced by removing the gearchange lever, und using a small sharp pick to push between the shaft and the seal, with not much effort you can pull the old one out, clean around the shaft and seal area and gently push the new 1 in useing even force all round, TIP IF YOU LAY THE BIKE DOWN ON ITS RIGHT SIDE YOU CAN REPLACE THE SEAL WITHOUT REMOVING THE OIL.

First the causes of leakages has three explanations. Ocasionally the engine oil has to be replaced either as burnt out or simply to acquire new functionality. A continuous use of burnt out engine oil is capable of leaking as dispense mechnansim. Second, the engine oil should not be filled to the brim of compartment. An over oiled compartment displays overflows after vigorous biking experience. Third, insufficient oil in compartment causes the engine to over heat melting the gasket glue seal to the engine block. In which instance leaks are observable. How to fix the condition.
First, acquire replaceable parts mentionable as engine oil, gasket glue and filters.
Second, deciding on contacting a mechanic as alternative means to repairs or decid on fixign at elswhere as an arrangement. Third, deciding to fix at home for example would require a pack of tools that are capable of loosening the engine block area. Usually, two of three spanners of an appropiate nut size would loosen the engine block. The reason for loosening the engine block is to visually ascertain that no damages were made due to burn oil or event vigorous riding. Once the engine block has been removed, the bike splokets are exposed, and may be greasy requiring cleaning. The apppropaite fliud is required to spray clean the internal devices either as removal of greases of burnt slurg or simply to observe any damages. There after the cleaning is achieved, the parts to the engine block is replaced. The tools become handy in removing and tigtnining. Also, the gasket glue and filters become usaful as replacement of any wornout disposables of the preveoius. Once every parts are tightened back in place, the new engine oil restores the bike to regular functionality.

I have a hino truck, its 6th gear does not get engaged

no VIN told
no country told
no year told
no kind of transmission told , manual or automatic
the only clue is 6th gear,
my 2008 jeep has a 6speed manual transmission
SEE?
let me guess it is a M./T box and has manual foot clutch
and the clutch slips.
seems your shop in town is not so good.

top cause of gears not selecting is the gear shifter linkage is all messed up. (damaged, worn, or adjusted wrong)
or the
main clutch is dragging (bad) or slipping worse.
any shop that knows M/t can diagnose it, but not yours.
the old 6sp mt box has side lever shift links up to 1995
then later the Eaton Fuller FS6406A 6 speed box?2004 up??>?? no year truck told, why must any helper beg fo the year.
with classical. top lever shift and big knob end
the bottom of the classical lever. has tip and this tip can be plastic to stop noise but wears out fast and the H pattern fails to work this is super common super easy cheap fix.
even a $10 fix.

Eaton fix easy, nothing ever was so easy this failure
see the stick?
remove it and see the tip is damaged.
bingo.will not pick gears in the H pattern, or is RAndom
BOX GOOD
CLUTCH GOOD
SHIFT TIP NOT GOOD. A DIRT CHEAP PART.

2000 Honda Accord 2.3 VTec engine, 4 cylinder, 5 speed stuck in reverse?

USA spec car in USA? not told
2.3L inline 4 banger.DOHC +VVT cam. 5sp, M/T
nor real name of the box told.
Vtec is honda name for VVT, valve variable timing, and is not a transmission part at all so is off topic if we want to do 1 at a time.
a wise idea that, leaks are your problem.as all are.
your post seem clueless, here, find a real shop and get it fixed?
vtech bad causes huge engine power loss, for sure stuck in idle mode. so lets end that here.
and talk the box, what box 5 speed is it
not told at all
honda says 5speed is a manual transmission M/T
the silly cable to it is bad.
end story, endless.
2 cables clutch release snapped i gear. makes it hard to shift if you do not move car bay hand to N./ (a trick to lean 2 man job) as all tow truck drivers know for 100 years.
shift cable bad. (or levers to it)
see this first photo , one can drop off links to that #8 part and shift the box by hand, sure can and if can the box end is good .
box means transmission box in whole.,, mech jargon.
all this is pure mechanics 101 problem shifting any M/T is.
photo 2 is lever #2 id and cable set 6
one if bad, looking only finds it as is 100% pure mechanical parts.
end to end. no brains no CPU or TCM brains here, just real gears and levers and flex steel cables that love to fail not lubed regular.

New gear shift lever fitted, now cant get it out of low box when low gear is engaged without turning off the engine, grates loudly.

Gear shift grommets/bushings may be worn or not aligned properly. If grinding, gear is not fully engaged. Check above items to correct, if doesn't correct, may have transmittion problem.

Gear oil leak in front and gear shift lever loose

I would have a mechanic look at it for you. Sounds like it could be an oil seal or it could have a crack in the case or it could be a rear engine seal is shot ?

I have a 2005 kx 250f backfire and no start

Chances are when the OHC was installed it was one tooth off on the timing. You have spark and gas and the bike is a single cylinder so that is what I would check. Slack in the chain tensioner is what usually creates the problem. All slack should be at the back side of the cylinder.

Whats the best way to drop the gearbox & transfer case?

remove the carpet on the floor, remove the gear shift lever as well as the 4wd shift lever, remove the drive shaft (both) remove the bell housing bolts, remove the starter, place a hydraulic lift jack below the gear box , then remove the wiring connectors , then remove the cross member , then pull the gearbox out from its positin, drop the gearbox very carefully, when gearbox is on the floor, make sure its sittin on a up right position so it dose not spoil any of the elctric connectors especially the reverse light switch...(that seems to be the easiest way to remove a manual land cruiser gearbox) hope that wil help....
