Remove seat ZX10? - 1989 kawasaki ZX 10

Howdie you will have to drop it out from the bottom very carefully don,t tip it over will cause Leakage or go to the Dealer HAnd them a 20 and Be NICE to them for imfo to help ya out thks again for your time

is there a strap or clamp securing it ?

Remove the two small panels under the seat. Then remove the screw in center holding seat in place.

Thrue the clutch cable and the adjuster nut thare at the clutch hub... Adjust the one at the clutch hub first then take up slack at the handle ..

Excuse the silly question, but do you by any chance have any springs laying around the shop floor that you maybe forgot to put back in?
The other possibility is your clutch cable is too tight and needs to be backed off, or is simply incorrectly seated.

Checking the size will instantly tell you.

take side fairings off. remove two bolts on seat one on each side. fuse box under sea

you didnt mention anything to do with the carbs so try some "Sea foam".... purchase at Autozone ($10) pour 1/3 can to two gallons fuel and drive it around for a good 10 to 15 miles and get on it once in awhile, ride safe..if the carbs are dirty or clogged... they wont be after your ride..there might be a little hesitation your first couple of miles till it starts to work..it took my bike 10 miles before it cleared out..bump start your bike if you have to to get it going and keep it going till it clears up.
