Run the Low Rider's motor for a few minutes to warm the oil up. Shut off the bike.

  • 2 Find your Low Rider's drain plug (on the oil pan). Using the screwdriver, loosen then remove the drain plug, and drain the oil into the drain pan.
  • 3 Remove the Low Rider's dipstick.
  • 4 Let the oil drain completely.
  • 5 Clean the drain plug threads with a clean cloth or paper towel, apply sealant, and replace the oil plug and dipstick.
  • 6 Move the drain pan to beneath the oil filter. Using the oil filter wrench, remove the oil filter.
  • 7 Discard the filter in the pan with the old oil. It is full of oil.
  • 8 With a clean rag or paper towel, clean the area where the gasket meets the motor.
  • 9 With a clean finger, rub a bit of new oil on the gasket of the new oil filter before installing it.
  • 10 Install the new filter, turning until snug, then turn it by hand another 1/2 turn. Take care to not over-tighten, as this will damage the filter gasket or the filter, possibly causing the Low Rider to fail.
  • 11 Open the oil reservoir, using the funnel; fill the tank with the fresh oil and close the reservoir.
  • 12 Run the motor for a few moments to coat the engine with the new oil. Check for leaks. (If you find any, check the filter and drain plug for a tight fit.)
  • 13 If there are no leaks, after the motor has run for a few minutes, turn off the motor and check the oil level. Top it off if necessary.

  • hope this helps

What is the coolant capacity for a 1999 international 4700 T444E

auto transmissions are real sensitive to oil and flow issues. Not knowing your make, year, and service history, I will make the following suggestion. Have your transmission serviced with a Flush, filter change, and new oils. This should fix any flow issues that can cause this problem. If still an issue after that, you will need to have it serviced or it will fail in the long run.

NOTE: service facilities such as Oil & Go, have this flushing service available at a flat rate charge and I would use this type service rather than a transmission shop....but that is your choice .... hope this helps...

Where do I top up manual transmission oil on a 1986 daihatsu charade turbo g11?

Do you want to top up the engine oil or the transmission oil? The transmission oil plug is on the top side of the transmission. You need to lift up the car to do this. Best thing is to bring it to a service station.

Transmission oil foaming and pushing out of dipstick tube during normal transmission operation. Transmission has been serviced - oil & filter replaced with OEM components.

    Hello,

Has the suction filter been serviced? And what transmission oil have you used? Is it John Deere hydraulic oil or hydraulic/transmission oil? Does the tractor have a loader?

I have hyundai sonnata 2006 4 cylinder. it has just completed 100000km.should i changet transmission oil now.

The transmission oil starts breaking down at 30000miles. Most car dealers change the transmission oil and filter at the second scheduled maintenance service at 60000miles. Changing the transmiosion oil is an insurance for the transmission. Make sure to use the specific transmission oil for your car.

If my car sits for over 5 hours it takes the transmission a while befor it will engage after that it works good?

The symptom can be typical of degraded transmission oil which does not behave correctly when cold. Change the transmission oil and if there's a transmission oil filter then replace that as well. If you live in an especially cold or an especially hot climate, then you may require a different grade of transmission oil. Your nearest Pontiac servicing agent can advise you which grade suits local conditions.

Also give serious consideration to a full service on the rest of the vehicle if it hasn't been done in the last year/10000 miles.

When the preform the transmission service they will drain you transmission of its ATF fluid an replace it with new fluid. It is essentially an oil change for your transmission.

Lots of forgein car dealers say no but ive own and service nissan toyota and i dont change the fluid because you never get all the old oil out and then you mix new and old, what we do is called a trany flush done with a bg flush machine and is done every 30,000 miles unless its syntheic trany oil then at 100,000 miles, the flush is done with a cleaner and then a conditioner and removes 100% of the old oil. hope this helps.
