DO NOT RIDE WITHOUT YOUR BRAKES!
What exactly do you mean by "Pulls up"? Is it slowing down quicker than normal like your towing a heavy weight? Are there any new sounds the scooter is making. Comment below with this information please.
Try this. Do this with the engine OFF and the key OUT. Does your scooter have a centre stand? Set it on the centre stand and get a helper to lean on the rear of the scooter to keep the front wheel off the ground. kneel in front of the scooter and spin the front wheel by hand. It should spin easily. Pull ******* the brake lever and try to turn the front wheel. It should not move. Get your helper to move to the front of the scooter to hold the front wheel down and raise the rear wheel. Use the same method as the front to test the brakes. The rear wheel should turn smoothly with only a small amount of resistance from the engine and transmission and only lock solid when you pull ******* the brake lever.
Hi,food for thought, have you checked that the wheele bearing is not worn(put bike on centre stand hold wheele on tyre 6 clock and pull with one hand and push with other hand)and see if you can feel eney play in the bearing,if so replace, also with bike still on back wheele spine wheele and see if it pins freely and that the discs are not warped,if not then if there is a fork brace check that it is tight ,check that the head racers are not loose or worn, with bike still on centre stand hold weele with one hand and front brake with other hand push and pull with wheele strate towards and away from bike and feel for play if there is try tightening,if not, then turn front forks left and right still holding the forks and wheele in same place do this slowly and when the wheele gose past the centre piont(strate)feel for eney notchy ness,if not bearing should be ok,if there is notchy ness replace,if its none of these I would get the wheele rechecked that it was balanced right, all the best hope you get to the bottom of the problem.
Sounds like the bearing is going bad again. The "oil " you're looking at is wheel bearing grease leaking out. If the bearing was bad in new condition or it was installed improperly you will have to replace it again. I would take it back to the dealer that installed it in the first place and complain. Of course that depends on the amount of time it has been since the work was done.
i suggest you check the seal and output shaft again , also see if youve lost any oil in the diff housing on your rear wheel ! if ok then check the seal that connects to the driveshaft , but i wouldnt think this be the problem and its the output shaft area thats it !
possibly there is a air leak or a pocket of air in the hydrolic system try bleeding it losen one of the hoses so its just dripping start car and turnlock to lock a few times refill reservoir and do this again lock to lock the air should be gone if it still does it could be the steering box on it way out but this is unlikely hope this helps ivan
Lift machine using a trolley jack (presuming you don't have a centre stand) Loosen rear wheel and slide it forward ,pull belt from drive pulley anf remove rear wheel. Unscrew sprocket cover on engine and slide belt off primary pulley
as in remove?if removal easyest way put on centre stand slacken chain adjuster nuts, then slacken wheel spindel, push wheel backwards so chain becomes real loose....undo wheel spindel fully tap wheel spindel out wheel should slide out
Removal of the rack and pinion is not too difficult.
Place the car on chassis stands on flat hard standing or in a garage.
Remove the front wheels.
Centre the steering and tie the steering wheel in place.
Remove the tie rod ends. You can either buy a tool to do this but a simple way it to loosen the nut without removing it and giving the steering knuckle a sharp crack with a hammer. This should loosen the tie rod end and the nut can be fully removed.
Loosen the fitting holding the rack to the steering wheel.
Remove the pipes to the steering fluid reservoir.
Remove the brackets holding the rack to the body.
You can now pull it out.
Fitting the new one is the reversal. However, before you connect it to the steering wheel, you need to make sure it is in the centre position.
Refill the steering fluid, start the engine and swing the steering from left to right to remove air. Put your wheels back on, Make sure that your wheels ar both pointing in a straight line.
Drive carefully to the nearest alignment centre because you alignment will be out and you will wear your tyres out in triple speed and your car might handle poorly until it has been aligned properly..
Sounds like the clutch is sticking. You may be able to free it off. Bike on centre stand, rear wheel off the ground, run engine, front brake hard on, pull in clutch and put in gear. Apply rear brake. May work, may not. Be careful to keep rear wheel off the ground.
