Should be an adjuster between the cylinders. Looks like a threaded knob. Sometimes you have to pull it out a little first.

SOURCE: i have a 2002 honda vtx 1800 will not idle but loads with gas

Check for a blocked airbox vent, sometime we put things under the seat that will cover the airbox inlet which will automatically make the bike run extremely rich and all that needs to be done is to remove the paper or gloves or whatever there is blocking the inlet snorkel. You may also want to check for tight intake valves too. That is classic Honda, tight valves will cause a rich mixture all the time if it is the intake valves making the problem.
Please let me know if this works, if not give me more specific data and I will better assist you.

How do I check the fuel filter on a 2006 honda vtx 1800

  1. Engine
    • The Honda VTX 1800 cruiser boasts a monstrous 1,795cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, with three valves per cylinder and a nine-to-one compression ratio. It has a bore and stroke of 101 by 112 mm, making it an undersquare, or long-stroke motor, meaning it's tuned for low-end torque. With a curb weight of 800 pounds, you'll need all that low-RPM power to get off the line. The bike does not have a tachometer, so you'll have to shift the five-speed transmission by feel.
    Fuel System
    • The bike is fuel injected, with an automatic choke. Fuel injection helps the VTX 1800 ride more smoothly than carbureted V-twins. The tank carries 5.3 gallons of fuel. In reviews, the bike had an average range of 194 miles on a tank of gas.

    Performance and Handling
    • This is a massive and massively powerful motorcycle. It corners wide, and is really meant for highway cruises rather than city riding. The bike gets a remarkable 100 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 RPM. The suspension is rough, and you will certainly feel bumps in the road. Honda, however, has put a lot of effort into minimizing engine vibration, so the gigantic V-twin won't rattle your bones the way you expect it to. The engine makes a solid, satisfying thump without chattering your teeth.

I have 2004 honda vtx 1800c that won't idle when it's been sitting over night. Will idle after it's been driven for about 10 minutes. Any ideas.

i had same with my vtx 1800 i adjusted the idle , if you look to the left of engine between the pots there is a little plastic wheel on the end of a cable which goes to the throttle body, i think it is anti clockwise to increase. try this it worked ok for me however there is a cold start on these and it is operated by coolant temperature check your coolant level and top up if neccessary with the correct coolant as specified (not got info at hand)

Fuel injection..Hard to start will not idle and pouring gas out the exhaust.2003 vtx

if this is a vtx 1800 then you need to look at the fuel pressure regulator, this is faulty and sending fuel up the vacuum hose, they are around £40 to buy and about an hour to fit. they play up any time from 6000miles,even know to one 2000 miles but was changed on warranty.

2002 VTX 1800 backfires recelerating

If the bike is fuel injected, the module should fix it. If the bike is carbureted, you don't need the module but you will need to re-jet the carb to enrich the mix.

The fi light comes on then off like it works but it loudup with gas

Okay. The bike loads up with gas. That is a problem with the fuel injection system. That is also what the FI (Fuel Injection) light is trying to tell you. The bike needs to go to a dealer to have them read the computer codes so you can find out what the computer controlled Fuel Injection system senses is wrong.
