How much oil do i need to put in each fork of my 07 yamaha wr250

Yahaha doesn't specify a certain amount. You need to measure the distance from the top of the tube to the fork oil, with the forks compressed all the way and the springs out. It should be 5.12 inches. Go to
http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/community/service/manuals.jsp
for the service manual and read pages 5.81 to 5.84

What oil do i put in the front forks of my 1997 Yamaha Thunderace

You can use any type of oil, but fork oil is recommended. The heavier you are, or the stiffer you want the forks to be, use heavier weight oil.
