Sounds like the pod as failed this unfortunately does tend to happen and will need a new unit fitted Classic signs of processor failiure in the dashpod until it warms up. Tell the dealer this and to ring Audi Customer services - they will inform the dealer that the policy is now that all faulty dashpods are to be replaced free of chargeand regardless of mileage, age, service history, or country of first registration. i.e. all TTs regardless.

sounds like the end of the cable is frayed ,but again i would really need to have a look myself to diagnose correctly
