Fuel Filter Removal & Installation To Remove:

  1. Remove fuel tank unit beneath floor access panel.
  2. Remove fuel filter from fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
To Install:
  1. Install fuel filter to fuel pump/fuel gauge sending unit.
  2. Install fuel tank unit and floor access panel.

Were is the fuel filter in a 2003 honda civic ex someone told me it was under the back seat but the back seat wont come up.please help
On a 2003 Honda Civic the fuel filter is located along the firewall just a few inches to the right of the battery. Its the fuel pump that is located under the back seat.

Copy and paste that and it shows the fuel filter. It should be item 1. I buy lots of parts from them and they are great for OEM Honda parts. Hope that helps.

Fuel filter location
I am guessing the 2003 is like the 2001-02 and the only filter is in the fuel tank with the pump. I think in the service manual it only recommends changing it if you have low fuel pressure and the part is a dealer only item. Autozone, etc will not have it.

Hi. In 1995 Honda began to build their cars with a permanent filter that is part of the fuel sender/pump located in the tank. One less thing to have to worry about.

Usually on the firewall passenger side. It is a metal can looking filter. If you get the new one you can spot the old one.
