You need to remove the left side body panel to access the battery. You have to first remove the engine spoiler (4screws) and then all the screws around the left side panel. There is one screw behind the mirror which just snaps off the posts. Just whack the mirror had with your hand towards the back of the bike and it will pop off, then remove the light socket and set mirror aside. Remove the seat too, as there are a couple of screws hidden under the seat. Continue to remove all the screws around the body work and then lift the body panel up and out away from the bike. You will then see the battery behind the ABS modulator. Remove the wires from the battery as you slide it out of the tray.

This whole process is kinda difficult and requires taking your time. If in doubt best to take the bike to an experienced BMW mechanic.

How do I replace a fuel line on 2004 bmw 1150rt?

You need to remove both side panels of the bodywork. there are quick disconnects on both fuel lines on the RHS of the machine. These are easily visible once the bodywork is removed. Then remove the glove box from the tank and remove the tank retaining bolt on the RHS of the bike. Disconnect both fuel lines and the electrical connector, and lift the tank off the bike. You will then have easy access to the fuel lines and clamps etc. Since you don't say why you want to replace the fuel lines, it may just be a leak at the quick disconnect which can be fixed with a new O ring.

My BMW 1150RT battery light came on. I replaced

This looks like a regulator or alternator issue. If you have access to a volt meter start the bike and check the voltage going to the battery. Needs to be 13.5 or 14 volts. If not time to take the Beemer to the shop.

I just bought this bike, it`s my first bike now it won`t start, the battery seems to be dead, but i don`t know where the battery is located on the bike.

the battery is under the oil cooler directly vbehind the front wheel, behind a black or chrome cover you must remove 2 bolts to remove the cover to access the battery,

Trunk for 1150 RT

I have the standard trunk (supplied by BMW for 1150RT for a hefty price). Nice thing about it is that it fits nicely, has a backrest for the passenger and is very stable and strong. The poor thing about it is that it still will not fit a helmet. I suggest you also look at the GIVI trunk. I don't know how it will fit to the 1150RT, but I do know they look nice, are well made and large enough to accomodate a lot more thant the BMW trunk. By the way, how do you like your 1150? I love mine. If only I had more time to ride it.
