Hi i have a 2001 flstc hst heritage #46?140 made with factory paint job.Anyway i recently purchased the bike but only had 1 alarm fob ,i went down to the dealer bought a new fob but thr dealer could not porgram the new fob with the current one, there is a Dyna eletric pack on the bike and the dealer wants to look at the bike but i,m afraid that will be too expensive. The current fob works fine and its not the battery in the fob, the dealer said it could be because my bike battery was low ,anyway at the moment i,m charging the battery.I tried the standard on-off,on-off-on ,then twice on the left light switch and once on the right but no pin number showed up on the oddometer, and do i do the above sequence after i disarm the alarm .THe dealer did the above sequence then pressed my orriginal fob, followed by the new one, was he arming or disarming the system?he said the new fob should pick up a signal from the alarm system can you help me set the new fob please brian g

SOURCE: How do you arm the factory security system?

push the button twice to dissarm the system, it will arm itself after about 30 seconds you should be able to see that its armed by the indicators flashing or if you have a siren fitted it will chirp twice . this function can removed but it will automatically self arm
hope this helps
kind regards

SOURCE: Cannot start my 2004 Sportster 1200 Custom due to security system

Check the battery, try jump starting it with another battery. If the battery voltage drops too low, i believe the alarm default is to disble the bike. (Greasy little criminals will cut battery cables to disarm the alarm) so although you may have enough power to operate the lights and alarm, it may be droppoing too low to start.

Got a feeling guy installing xtra lites didn't do a good job grounding his new installation...if the alarm is working fine now then don't worry about the alarm....recheck his work and rig up an extra ground wire if need be....good luck to you friend.....tim

Unplugged module on rear guard, now bike wont start

Think of it this way bike is designed to shut down when tampered with. Disconnect battery overnight use up any electricity on board by headlight. In morning do not play with anything except hooking up battery and should work. Call a dealer. My key fob factory alarm was weak so the dealer put in new fob battery. I don't know if there was a fob reset. 25254473-4qzs3n2k2rff1yxe3x3ajped-5-0.jpg

2001 Harley Davidson FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic Security Alarm

yes... have seen this before....find the alarm box. undo the clip, open it up, and replace the 9 volt battery inside...you should be fine after that. note...mine vwas a 2005 flstni... the box is under the rear fender at the back of the motor. there is a plastic cover there and the box is under it. had to put bike on a jack to have enough room to get in there

Spyball alarm green buttons on fob cant get bike to start got alarm working now but no go in starting please help

Sounds like alarm has been set off,all the bells an whistles have stopped now it's in anti theft mode.Try disconnecting neg.wire on battery for a couple minutes and then reconnect.Alarm should go off.Take fob an shut alarm off like normal and that should do it.

How to reset alarm on heritage softail, bike wont

Set the alarm by holding the key fob button until you see running lights flash twice. Turn off the alarm by pushing the key fob button twice and the lights will flash once.

I having issues with my 02 standard softail. the factory alarm seems not be reseting. i can get the bike to start but then dies out on me. then I struggle to get it back on. anyone know how to reset...

The fob may have fallen out of sync with the alarm. Press the key fob button for 20 seconds and they try arming and disarming the alarm. If that doesn't work you will have to re-set the alarm. A battery disconnect can cause this problem. Look in your owner's manual for alarm re-set procedures.
