Maybe it is vacuming in most cars small hole in fuel cap allows air in as fuel is been drawn out maybe fuel cap is blocked

Its your spark plug, its just happened to me,get an hot spark plug, when i approached trafic lights it would just cut out,and just cruising on a straight road it felt like a fuel problem.I checked the carb for water contamination, that was ok,then i changed the spark plug,It runs better now than it ever did.Dont call the AA they will say its your battery, they must say its the battery on all breakdowns,it made me laugh because i said to AA could be the spark plug,he said no no its definately the battery..

Please tell me your closest technitian in Norcross; Georgia 30093 My Chain Saw is not turning on

i cant tell you were to look but i can tell you what to look at on the saw to try to fix it,,,,first change the spark plug and check for a spark by holding the plug on the cylinder head and cranking the motor over,,,hold it down tight or it will bite you?
then check you have a clean carb and that the fule pump rubber is good,,its under the cover were the fule pipe fit on the carb clean the carb out as well,,clean the air filter out,, then give it a go starting her up,,if she runs but keeps stoping get a small screw driver and find the two small screws on the side of the cover,, one is for slow running,,one it for top reves,,,undo the slow running screw till the saw ticks over without stoping,,then hold the triger full open and addjust the full throtol screw till it wont rev any higher,,,dont have the chain brake on at all so watch your self,,,,,cutting a leg off hurts im told????

Carburators

you have got sticky floats or float velves that are sticking shut/open,,, turn on the fuel and tap the top of the carbs one at a time this may jolt the floats back and shut the needle velves if this dont work the only way to fix it is to strip the cards and clean the cards up if you park the bike up for any time again drain all the float boles first by undoing the small screw under the carb float boles or run the carbs dry by turning off the fule tap and keep the motor running till it stops by its self

Hi, I?ve got an 88 K75S which runs well but when cold has problems starting. My local mechanic has had a look and can?t find the problem. The battery was changed 3 months ago, new plugs have recently been...

your BMW75 has a cold start sensor fitted to its fule system the choke leaver dose nothing but raze the reves a little its not a choke,,,thats withing the fule system if the sensor is not working right it wont tell the fule pump to enrich the fule mix and it will be hard to start from cold,,also if you start the bike up you must run it till its hot or the choke will stay on and flood up the engine the next time you try to start up
the choke sensor is in the water jaket, try changing this part first

1991 CR 500 (reving to high on idle high serges)

take some wd 40 & spray around the carb boot while running to see if the idle drops for a few seconds. sounds like you have an intake side air leak causing a lean condition making the motor rev high.
