My aprillia sports city one 125 will not start. it cut out whilst riding. now it wont start, when i try to start its very noisey the alternator turns and i can see rotation on opposite side. does not appear to be any drive

dear hard to start first thing to do is to install a new plug and second make sure your choke system is working. you could try to prim the engine by squirting fuel in spark plug hole if fires up right away you have choke problem. that would mean a carb cleaning.

put it on a charger and then start it.  pump the gas to prime it.  You'll need to replace the battery because it's shot.  I have a Aprilla 250 and love it.

hello mate ive had the same problem and bizzarly it turnt out to be that i needed a new spark plug i have just give some1 on this site this information and it turnt out to be the same problem its worth try

hi buddy on carb there will be a screw turn this screw all the way in and unscrew it 1 1/2 turns out and try this if still no difference get back to me it will be the air mixture screw on the pic below

some things to try,
adjust the idle using the black knob on the carb,
check air filter is clean,
remove and clean carb
