2004 Suzuki RM-Z 250 Logo
Anonymous Posted on Oct 11, 2010

I have a 2002 Suzuki Ozark 250 ATV. I only has about 11 hours on it and was in storage for years. I rode it without problem last fall but now is difficult to start and will not idle. I drained the old gas and changed the plug but it still is hard to start and will not idle. I suspect that I need to clean the carb. If so, Where do I get a kit?

I don't have a solution but I do have the exact same problem, '03 or '04 (not sure) Suzuki 250 Quadrunner Ozark, really low hrs, left in storage for 2.5 yrs, gas went bad, cleaned it out, now hard to start and won't idle by itself.
I have taken the carb apart and cleaned it out, but did not replace anything, and it will still not start very easily or idle. Before I took the carb apart I thought it was flooding because it would start with the accelerator wide open, but when I would let off, it would die again. Whats going on?? I really don't want to pay to have it fixed.

I took my ozark to west va and frist day it ran great.. second day would not idle or run very good.. had to hold throttle wide open to start.. well took carb off twice cleaned it out and replaced fuel did not help.. when i got home took carb off again and still same problem.. well when putting it back together i noticed fuel in vacum hose going to pitcok.. found the diofram bad and letting it pull fuel through that hose also.. I took some plires and pinched hose off and it runs great starts and idles fine....waiting on parts now... hope this helps...

13200-05g01 carburetor. Where is the idle adjustment?

I answered this yesterday. It is shown on the top of the diagram. 4th image ion the Amazon advert, small brass screw. Make sure you have got the cable adjuster too tight as that will cause a high idle.
