Perhaps the air injection pump attached to the MAF sensor and filter assembly.
The secondary air pump is one part, it is actually called the "secondary air injection system", so the dealer misinformed u, it is a major component of the emission control system, it is under the hood and injects air into the exhaust system to help clean the exhaust
there is just one pump, why they call it 2nd I really don't know

If it's a chrysler engine the thermostat is located just below radiator cap. If mitsubishi diamond star engine it's located on the cylinder head , beside the air cleaner housing

Look for the large black box on the driver's side of the car...you didn't mention what engine size...but anyway, unclip the cover from the large black box. Lift the old filter out and replace with the new one. Replace the cover and clip it back in place. That's it!

REMOVAL
The battery is accessible without removing the left front wheel and tire assembly..
Verify that the ignition switch and all accessories are OFF.
Turn the steering wheel to the full left position.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post.
WARNING: NEVER GET UNDER A LIFTED VEHICLE IF NOT SUPPORTED PROPERLY ON SAFETY STANDS.
Remove battery splash shield. Refer to the Body section of the service manual for the procedure.
Disconnect the heater blanket cord, if equipped.
Remove the short bolt from the battery hold down and remove the hold down (Battery Location).
Disconnect the negative and positive battery cables from the battery.
Slide the battery toward rear of vehicle and lift out of the battery tray.
Remove battery from vehicle.

A fuel pressure test will tell you if the pump is performing as it should, the first step would be to scan the computer to see what the code or codes are. Has the vehicle had a tune up recently if ever?

what are u calling an air pump, do u have a code or check engine light?
the code says secondary air flow system. The dealership told me over the phone to change the secondary air pump. Does that mean there are 2 of them?
