Take out the cotter pin and Loosen the large but on the right side, but do not remove it yet. Jack up the rear wheel until it is clear of the ground about an inch. Raise the bike with a floor jack and have two buddies on each side or two tie downs keep it balanced. Remove the large nut. shove the wheel forward as far as it will go and take the chain off the sprocket. let it lay on top of the swing arm. Take a block of wood and gently tap the axle in now pull it out from the other side. You may have to support the wheel to do this. once the axle is out the wheel will drop down to the floor. remove the brake bracket and caliper. be sure to watch and note where the spacers go on each side of the bike so you can get them back where they belong. with the brake clear and the chain off the sprocket roll the wheel out the rear of the bike. To reinstall, reverse the above and install a new cotter pin when done for safety. best wishes!

Near the back of the rear sprocket assy you will see a bolt facing forward. This bolt, when tightened, tightens the chain and visa-versa. To adjust the bolt, loosen the locking nut a just a little bit then adjust the bolt itself. It is best to make this adjustment while the rear wheel is off the ground, so you can spin the wheel and feel for chain tension. Once you have adjusted the chain tension to where you can just barely wiggle it 1/4" tighten the locking nut back against the frame. It is important to get this nut tight, as if it loosens, so will your chain.
Don't overtighten the chain as you will wear it out more quickly and wear down the sprocket teeth (expensive repair). Too loose and you risk a chain skip at high torque.
