89octane is a good start for the fuel,,,,for the oil,,,Use 10w40 motorcycle oil,,,Valvoline makes moto oil,,,,yes there is a diff,,,moto oil give your clutch disk the reqired friction that they need,,,regular auto oil will work but i dont recomend it.
The transmission oil and the engine oil are the same. Use only a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. Automotive oil uses different additives and will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. 10w-40 oil is good for cold climate. 20w-50 for hot climate/touring. Synthetic oil will make your cycle run cooler and shift easier. Your final drive uses 80/90 hypoid gear oil. Synthetic hypoid oil will reduce friction and make your final drive run cooler. You will probably need four quarts of oil . Pour in three quarts and check the oil level. Top up as needed. If changing the oil filter you will have to run the motor to get an accurate oil level reading
If you have a separate transmission oil bath from your piston, crankshaft, head side of the crankcase , you can use 10w-40 JASO MA motorcycle oil. The same oil can be used in the piston side as in the transmission side of the engine. Racers will use 80 wt motorcycle transmission GEAR oil. For an edge you could use 70 wt motorcycle transmission GEAR oil. The transmission gear oil helps preserve the wet clutch and gears in high powered race bikes.
Any
oil with the JASO MA motorcycle certification. 10w-40 for cold climate,
20w-50 for warm climate/touring. Do not use any oil that says Energy
Conserving on the label. It will shorten the life of your wet clutch and
transmission gears. Synthetic oil will help your bike run cooler and
shift easier. You will need 4 quarts of oil , an oil filter, and a new
aluminum sealing washer for the drain plug.
Use motorcycle oil. It should have the JASO MA rating on the bottle . Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label , it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears(wrong additives). Use 10w-40 for colder climates and 20w-50 for warm climates/touring. Synthetics will help your bike run cooler and shift easier. Amsoil and Mobile 1 make good motorcycle oil. Yamaha full synthetic (all there oil) is kind of expensive. Suzuki has a 15w-50 full synthetic that is reasonable ($7 a quart last time I got it)
You should only use a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. 10w-40 for cold climate and 20w-50 for warmer climate. Do not use any oil that is Energy Conserving it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. Synthetic oils will help you bike run cooler and shift easier especially in hot weather.
Motorcycle oil JASO MA certified 10w-40 or 20w-50. Don't use any oil that is Energy Conserving it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears.
The FZ750 uses the same oil for the transmission and crankshaft and top end. All oil is stored in the oil pan below the transmission and distributed throughout the engine by an oil pump. If you are asking if you need to use different oil for the transmission than the engine, no. If the oil level is correct for the transmission, it is correct for the whole engine.
