I have just purchased a 2000 Suzuki Marauder 800cc. I need to charge the battery but I don't know how to remove the seat? Can you help? Thanks

check and test fuses--battery--connections

There should be a lock on the right side just below the seat that the key goes in to unlock the seat:

There are two of them. One for each carb. The rear one is just in front of ht battery box under the seat. It can be removed by removingn the 4 screws under the right side cover. The front one is under the tank. you must remove the tank then remove the air box from the frame it's the black box near the handle bars. once the air box is removed the filter comes out the same as the rear one.

on the right side of the bike, right in front of the rear tire there is a key hole, use your key and it will unlatch the seat

10w40 works good.u can get it from autozone or dealer.

You will probably find it under the seat. Find the 8 mm or so bolts just under the padding at the back of your seat.

Insert your key into the locking mechanism on the right hand side of the motorcycle. Turn the key until the latch releases, then pull the seat up.

the front seat comes off by using your ignition key on a lock behind the passenger foot peg on the exhaust side

The battery for the Marauder is located under the seat. Check behind the passenger peg on the right side (the side the exhaust pipes are on) , there should be a lock. Use the bikes key to unlock the seat. You should be able to lift the seat from the back and pull it backwards as you lift it. You should see your battery. Hope this helps.
