What causes both cooling fans to not run?

Hi Naomi , there is a lot involved in the control of the cooling fans on your vehicle ! There are three fuse's , three relays an a fan control unit !
1. radiator fan main relay , located in underhood relay box A
2.condenser fan relay , located in underhood relay box A
3.radiator fan relay , located in underhood relay box C
4.Cooling fan fuse # 47 20amp. underhood fuse / relay box
5.condenser fan fuse # 50 20amp in underhood fuse / relay box.
Any one of these could cause them to not work, rather then just replacing parts an wasting money you should take it to the repair shop !

Cooling fan not working 1999 eldorado

Yes their is both a fuse and a fan relay.Tthe fan relay is some times located in the multi function relay on some vechiles, and is not replaceable by it self the entire multi function relay must be replaced as a whole. BUT, Lets not put the cart in front of the horse. You can diagnose this problem yourself first locate fues via owners manual if available. second assuming fuse is ok turn heat on all the way on defrost see if fan comes on? turn off heat Third turn A/C on full max cool see if fan comes on. if fan/fans do not engauge then test power, and ground at fan. IF still no fan suspect temp sensor. let me know what if any of these test produce results. if you need more info pleae let me know.

Radiator cooling fan fuse location for Ford Taurus

The cooling fan on a ford car usually does not have a fuse. The cooling fans are controlled by a relay in the power distribution box inside the engine compartment. The box is usually located near the battery. Your owners manual should have a guide showing you what each relay in the box is for.

Fuse location/ Cooling fan relay location

The relay for the cooling fan is located on the left side (north america drivers side) of the rad about half way down or near the top (may vary) there may be two relays or one, replace them both. As for the fuse location it should be under your dash (fuse panel) looks like a big silver fuse similar to a zippo lighter, it will be marked in fine print "engine fan".
