When running for a while and engine is hot it stales out and will not idle.Have had a tune-up and all fluids are fine.

This could be so many things so you want to check your basic tune up items first. Air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs. If these have high mileage then it may be time for a tune-up.

Beyond that, as your car warms the catalytic converter gets extremely hot. Having any issues with your engine or the converter can cause the converter to restrict your exhaust flow to the point of shutting down your engine.

Once the exhaust/converter cools, it allows the exhaust to flow more freely. This can be tested with a vacuum gauge (follow the instructions that come with the gauge) or by paying attention the flow from the exhaust tailpipe as the vehicle warms up.

Does it have a mechanical fuel pump?

You didn't say if engine is idling rough or not.It could be as simple as cleaning the throttle plate, or throttle position sensor, Or just a tune up is needed.

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

But possibilities are to be inspected to confirm what exactly it is.------

It can be issue with low fuel pressure,the fuel pump is getting old both needs to be checked.Also get the IAC valve checked.

If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that sells very cheap but very very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime.

Lately there has been alot of questionable fuel going around, I'd start by running a good fuel system cleaner through it and change fuel filter. Another question for you... when was last tune up? plugs, wires, all fluids & filters? I would get the basics on a "ground zero playing field" before unplugging electrics to diagnose - that will usually have you chasing ghosts and throwing parts at an easy fix.

Yes, fluid pours into dip stick, check with engine running and at normal engine temp. and in park.

The harmoic balancer is located on the end of the crankshaft. This shaft is the largest shft in the engine and should be the one where all belts eventually run thru/over it. Check it out, let me know.

the fuel pump is the only thing it could be, its building up heat after running a while and is shutting off...
