Find a manual for it. Sometimes the starter solenoid is not attached to the starter on motorcycles. If it is located under the seat, there's your problem.

What is the size of the back bolt that holds the seat on?

The bolt that holds the seat stay to the fender is an 8mm flange bolt, Yamaha P/N 95027-06012-00. There are also two nuts that hold the back of the pillion to the stay, Yamaha P/N 95707-06500-00. The front seat has no bolts in the back, the two button head bolts in the front that hold it in place are Yamaha P/N 92014-08020-00.
