the grinding noise sounds like the axle shaft joints are no good and need replacing.also the wheel bearings could be so bad that they are causing this problem.i have seen where badly worn out brakes have made a grinding noise on turns.the tire squealing i don`t think is related to the grinding noise.check out the other things just in case it is changing the tire angle which could cause squealing.

There is a sticker on the drivers door by the striker, if not the recommended from the factory is 32PSI. The other place you can go by is the tire it self, there along the tire by the rim is the information to the max inflation in fine prints. I personal go by the recommended tire pressure on the tire, since the tire brands may have been replaced by another brand then what came with the truck. If you find the Sonoma to ride a bit to hard for you, just let some air out of the tire but no more then 6psi posted on the tire it self. Good luck and hope this helps, Note it's common to run the rear tires a little less then the front since the engine is in the front but if your going to carry a heavy load, make sure all the tires are at the proper inflation.
check the wiring going along the frame,I had a 95"ford explorer ,that I replaced the fuel pump in.when I tested it before mounting the tank back,no power making it to the pump.where the wiring turns off the frame towards the top of the tank(to the f.pump)a factory connector was bad or going bad.sometimes would crank and sometimes not.being that it was 2am in the morning,I cut the connector out,and straight wired it,and was good until i could get another connector....check it out.
