Very dificult to find neutral and a terrible clattering noise coming from the transmission...just installed a new clutch and that did not change anything.. This is a 2001 Bonneville

You had best get the bike to a dealer for repairs. If the bike is making the sounds as you say, is is highly likely the tranny will self destruct at any moment > like at 60 mph in heavy traffic. You are risking your life if you continue to ride the bike.

Loud noise from engine bay on start up. it continues when the car is running. the only way to describe it is it sounds like a whosing noise

I don't know what whosing sounds like, but I have a high pitched whirring noise coming from my somewhere in the engine bay, my noise starts when the car starts and continues while driving, goes away at around 60 mph but will come back when I accelerate or decelerate, I have a friend that is a master tech at volkswagen, he suspects the alternator is making the noise, this is my first TDI, I bought it with 150k on it, I don't have any experience with TDI's, but am a Service Advisor, and it has been my general experience that all volkswagens are posessed! :) Always having some sort of electrical issue, Not sure if that will help.... Good Luck!

High Pitched noise

I had a high pitch noise, didn't sound like it came from the "underside". Turns out it was one of fans that had little chips in the blades? My Audi dealer replaced it, and it's fine now.
