2007 Ford Focus. Bleeding brakes on 2007 focus I get fluid to right front and left rear only absolutely nothing to right rear or left front

Question edited for clarity, year, maker model.
Question moved to sub category.

It may be the balance unit that puts more braking power on the front wheels but that is a funny crisscross mix. If your brakes have ABS they need bleeding using a pressurized system that pushes fluid into the cylinder bleed valve up to the reservoir in the engine bay.

Rear brake won't bleed up put new pads on?

Does your model use hydraulic brakes? Many models don't. Check your manual and if you don't have one, go to the mfr's web site and download one. Otherwise, try it out. If the brakes seem to be working fine... why fix it, if it ain't broke! If the brakes, don't feel right, then you will have to bleed hydraulic lines and slowly top up with the proper viscosity and thermal property brake fluid. If there are problems getting brake pad pressure after filling the master cylinder and bleeding the brakes, the master cylinder will need replacing.

Rear brakes wont bleed

It is important to fully "bench bleed" the Master cylinder as air can get trapped in the body of the cylinder. DO not block off the ports and bleed , attach 4 bleeding adapters & hoses to the MC and bench bleed till you get no air. the you can install & bleed R/R wheel , then L/R wheel , then R/F wheel , finishing with the L/F wheel. when bleeding don't pump the pedal as that will aerate the fluid & make it harder.

Refilling brake fluid on vivacity 50cc

most likely almost certainly will use dot 4, my peugeot speedfight 2 2002 did. you need to be gentle with it and you will need to bleed the brake to sort out the "spodgy" brake. to do this you will need a spanner of the right fit for the bleed nipple on the back and a rubber tube to attach onto the nipple, you'll find videos on youtube to actually bleed the brake. hope this helped i also found getting someone to help bleed the brakes with you will help.

How do you bleed the brakes on a 2006 chevy silverado 1500

  • Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid before beginning. Jack the car up so that the two rear wheels are about six inches above the ground. Slide under the right rear wheel and look at the back of the brake system for a small bleed valve. A bleed valve is a hollow bolt. When loosened it will allow the brake fluid to flow out and result in the vehicle having no brakes Fit a rubber hose over the end of the bleed valve. Make sure it forms a tight seal and make sure the free end is below the level of fresh and clean brake fluid. As the brake fluid in the line pushes out of the system, you will see a bubble come from the end that is under fluid.Have a helper sit in the driver's seat and follow your instructions. Tell your helper to pump the brakes hard a few times. Open the bleeder valve and tell your helper to press the brake pedal firmly down to the floor and hold it there until you indicate otherwise. Close the bleeder valve and have your helper release the brake pedal. Repeat this process until you see a small bubble ejected from the tubing under the surface of the brake fluid in the jar. Once you have finished with this wheel, move to the left rear wheel. Before you begin the next wheel brake, refill the master cylinder reservoir. Get set up and repeat the same steps for this tire. The next two wheels you will bleed are the right front wheel and then the left front wheel. Bleed the wheels in the order of the longest brake line first and then working towards the shortest brake line. Refill the master cylinder reservoir before beginning each new wheel. Once the rear brakes are finished, lower the car and jack up the front of the car. Remember to road test the brakes and make sure they operate well

Yamaha yzf r1rear brake worked fine then went out after it got warm and now I can't pump it up to bleed makes no sense

Start with new fluid from a new container...empty reservoir with a syringe or baster, refill with new...then retry bleeding..repeat bleeding sequence till new fluid exits bleeder....refilling reservoir as required.

How do i bleed rear brakes on 2006 heritage classic

First, remove the top cover from the rear brake master cylinder. Check the fluid level height. Make sure you're using the correct type of brake fluid. It's written what type to use right on the reservior top cover. Do NOT allow the reservior to run dry during the brake bleeding process and be careful with the brake fluid, it can damage your paint. Check the fluid level and temporarily replace the top cover on the master cylinder by just laying it on top of the reservior.

Now, to bleed the brakes you must do the following steps in this exact sequence.
    1. Depress the rear brake pedal and hold it down
    2. Open the brake bleeder valve on the rear caliper
    3. Allow air and brake fluid to bleed out
    4. Close the bleeder valve
    5. Release the brake pedal and allow the cylinder to refill for a short time.
    6. Check fluid level
    7. Repeat if the brake pedal is not high and firm.
    Good Luck

How do you "bleed" the rear breaks? on a bandit 600? can anyone help?

Brake fluid will eat away at plastic and paint!
Wipe any spilled fluid with the rag and lots of water.

    Tools needed:

    Wrench/Spanner (average 10mm)
Brake bleeding kit (rubber fitting, clear hose, small container)
Brake fluid overflow container (to put the brake bleeding kit small container in)
    Rags
    Brake Fluid

Attach the brake bleeding kit to the brake fluid nipple located on the brake caliper.

Loosen the nipple so the fluid is free to flow down the brake bleeding kit tube and into the small container

Remove the master cylinder cap (top) so you can monitor and refill more brake fluid into the master cylinder as you bleed the brakes.

Pump the brake lever so the old/new brake fluid is forced through the tube into the brake bleeding kit fluid container

Keep the volume of the master cylinder constant (near full) as to not have it empty. Keep pumping on the brake lever until the fluid coming out is clear (rather than the old brown/black colour).

Once all the tiny air bubbles are gone hold pressure on the brake level and re-tighten the brake fluid nipple to close it off.

Replace the master cylinder top cover.

Remove the brake bleeding kit from the caliper and use the rag and water to clean up any spillage.

Alternately, you can pump the pedal once, open the bleeder then shut it, pump the pedal again, open the bleeder and shut it and continue (adding as necessary) until the fluid is clear.

The advantage to doing it this way is much less pumping to get the air out of the lines you created when you first started on the first method.

    Unable to bleed front brakes

loosen the front brake line that goes to the master cylinder fill master cylinder up with fluid and bleed it first by attaching a flexible line from master cylinder front brake side submerge that line into jar of brakefluid keeping air from entering line get someone to pump brake pedal while ur holding line in a jar keep refilling the brake resivoir so no air gets in, once the master is bled front brake side then reattach the origional brake line then remove bleed screw from caliper and let fluid gravity flow down to calliper then bleed the normal way. more than likely your master cylinder has air trapped in the front portion good luck
