Hi and welcome to the site,

The clutch uses the same type of fluid, DOT 4 brake fluid, as used in the brakes.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

How to adjust clutch 1998 Suzuki VL 1500 intruder LC

The clutch on this model is hydraulic and is 'self adjusting", if the clutch is slipping the plates are worn out and in need of replacement. This information comes directly from the factory service manual.

if you put everything back where it goes, you will need to bleed the clutch slave cylnder, keep the reservoir full as you bleed air and old fluid out.

Intruder 1500, 1999, why can't I find the fuel

You dont have any fuel shut off valve because you have fuel injection which uses an electric fuel pump inside the gas tank all you need to do is buy a fuel additive called stabil and add the appropriate amount to the gas and you will have no problem. Make sure you fill your tank all the way up. because if you leave it like half way the upper half gets condensation and moisture . so just fill it up add stabil take out your battery and bring it in the house so it stays warm and dry and you will be good to go in the spring.

Can u adjust the clutch and whats kind of fluid do i use to top it off on my suziki intruder 1400.96

If you are having trouble releasing the clutch - you probably have a fluid problem. Remove all brake fluid from the clutch system. Bleed it. Add a small amount (1 ounce) and bleed it until that is gone. Now fill it up and remove all air from the line...
You should be in good shape.
Replacing the brake and clutch fluid is an annual operation on my bikes!!!

95 suzuki intruder, clutch oil was thick and very low, bled out system, re filled and bled extensively and doesn't have any pressure. Added .3 fluid per manual, clear fluid came out bleeder jet, but won't...

Likely the clutch master cylinder on the handlebar needs rebuilding--a check valve or piston cup is bypassing fluid when pressure tries to build up. If it was the slave cylinder, it would probably be leaking fluid. Same with the coupling hose.
