At times my Yamaha V-star will not start when hot

At times my 08 Yamaha V-star 1100 Silverado will not start when it is hot. Once it does, it back fires black smoke and sputters and backfires for a short time while riding. Also when I have the choke is on it sputters and backfires...related issue? It only has approximately 1900 miles on it and has been doing it since much less mileage, but it is getting worse.

Hello my name is Jonathan. I have worked on motorcycles including this model for 9 years. What is wrong with your bike could be a bunch problems from which it could a faulty ignition coil or even a faulty sensor that could cause the engine to run rich which I know it is running rich because of the complaint of black smoke. The only way I would know is to see the bike. If you need any assistance or even just for me to help steer you in the right direction. Please give me a call 479-280-4997

Once you're done with that, go back on your internet browser and in the box that says Fuel System, click that drop down and select Electrical System, unfortunately, I don't see any fuses in electrical system diagrams, the pump should be part of the electrical system, but I don't see that either in the electrical system diagrams.
