Sorry you went thru all of that... those vehicles have an issue with power brake boosters. one more thing to replace...Or, you still have air in the system...

clamp all 4 rubber brake lines closed and pump pedal 3 times if pedal is hard and at the top feels good the problem is at one of the wheels ,relaese 1 clamp at a time checking brake pedal after each on

  • Summit Motors Jan 16, 2014

Add a Commentonce u feel the pedal go spongy after releasing a particular clamps you know there is an adjustment or bleed problem on that specifiic wheel if the pedal is spongy with all wheels clamped after you pumped it 3 times ,the problem is not on the wheels , but more than likely to do with master cylinder or inline eqauliser valve

  • Summit Motors Jan 16, 2014

just remember a brake booster only makes the pedal easier to push and will not cause a spongy pedal as it is not part of the hydraulics ,it only assists the push of the pedal,if the booster is troublesome it makes the pedal hard to push ,it wont cause pedal travel or sponginess

2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with 4.7 eng. Changed all calipers and rotors. Bled brakes with half gallon fluid. Did it with eng off and doors open. When done turn eng on and pedal goes to floor. Pls help

Did you let the fluid drain out of the master cylinder? If so, you have to bench bleed it. And you probably have air in the ABS valve assembly.

My break pedal goes all the way to the floor . I replaced brake rotors master cylinder, and Break booster. I had to bleed the brake and still pedal still goes to the floor

You still have air in the system.(not bled properly) If you let the Master cylinder drop down to nothing then you need to bench bleed that before bleeding the lines again.

Best way of replacing a caliper on 1999 dodge durango

jack the truck up , secure it so it can not fall down or roll away etc.
remove the wheel.
remove used caliper,
secure the used caliper to the strut spring with a wire or coat hanger..

hang the new caliper on the rotor.
remove the brake hose to the used caliper and apply to the new caliper.

Make sure brake fluid is full and cap is off of the master cyl. reservior.
open the bleader valve on the new caliper and let it gravity feed the fluid until full/overflowing.
place the brake pads on the new caliper and replace the caliper securely on the truck and replace the wheel.

bleed the brakes of any air.

I replaced my caliper, rotors, and pads on my 1995 tahoe . I bled the brakes and still have no pedal. I also replaced master cylender. what next

you may need to bench bleed your master cylinder to keep the air from filling the lines and making bleeding more difficult

here is a link to a "how to"...good luck (I hate brakes)

1996 dodge ram 1500 4x4 Brake pedal depresses to floor when making a full left turn or right turn. Replaced master cylinder 4 times, brake booster, brake proportioning valve. all master brake cylinders...

Sounds like a wheel bearing is bad. This would allow the brake rotor to wobble when you turn, pushing the brake caliper piston back into the severely released state. So, when you press on the pedal, it takes a lot of fluid to make up for that large gap. Check for play in the wheel bearings on the front.

Why would passenger front brake get hot?

it means the brake caliper is hanging up dragging the pads on the rotor causing heat. replace caliper and bleed brakes. also check the flexible hose that connects to that caliper. could be collapsed inside not allowing fluid to return. if in doubt replace it too at the same time with caliper and bleed brakes.
