I have a 1976 Kawasaki KZ750B. I was changing my clutch cable and I pulled out the worm gears on the clutch mechanism. I didn't know that there were tiny ball bearings and they all fell out. I didn't know they were in there until I looked in the diagram in the Manual. Is there a digram showing how to put the ball bearings back in the worm gear? Or can you tell me how to do it?

Hi cbloom,
You will have to probabley adjust the clutch either from the end of the cable at the side cover or from the above at the handle lever.

Good Luck .

Sidestand must be retracted and sidestand switch functioning or the engine dies as a safety feature to keep you from riding off with the sidestand down. If the sidestand is up and it still dies, disconnect the sidestand switch and put a jumper in there. If the problem goes away, your switch is faulty.

You have found the problem, that saucer spring acts just like the pressure plate on the clutch of a standard transmission on a car. I had to replace one, and it was about $35.00. Good luck

No, this is a clutch problem. I love these bikes, wish I still had mine. Need new cable and probably clutch plates. It's very easy to change the clutch. If you get stuck email me at [email protected] and I'll talk you through it.

I have a problem with my cb 360 the problem occurs when I switch from gear 1 to gear 2 I adjest the coupling and renew the cable and coupling plates with springs. If you can help me with info, thanks

I am a bit uncertain what you are saying. You didn't really say what the problem is. I think you are saying that you put on a new clutch cable and new clutch springs and new clutch plates and you are still having trouble shifting the gears. If the problem is that the shift pedal is hard when you push down and / or when you lift upward, The problem is a bent shift fork in the transmission. Doing the clutch is not going to help. To fix a bent shift fork, the engine comes out of the frame, gets flipped upside down, the shift shaft and some other assemblies will need to be removed then the bottom half of the crankcase is removed. This will allow access to the shift drum and shift forks. Getting parts may be a problem. What year is the bike? Do not re-post your problem. Just do a reply. I will see if I can help you. Below is a generic diagram I made to show how the shift forks move the slider gears left and right to change gears. Please rate my answer. Thanks.tombones49_109.gif
