Raptor 1000 running rough when hot black smoke out of exhausts

check to see if the choke cable comes in contact with any linkage on gear selector sounds like a choke issue

It.sounds like you have a hole in the float. If the float was.stuck, the oil would be filled with gasoline. With a hole in the float, the engine would flood, blow black smoke and run rough. Remember, black smoke is fuel, white smoke is water, and blue smoke is oil. Hope I helped.

Check the fuel pressure regulator. It may be bad. Pull off the vacuum hose to it and check for any sign of gas in the hose. A busted diaphragm in the regulator could let extra gas into the intake through the vacuum hose. The black smoke indicates it is getting too much gas-running rich.

Take it to an Autozone or O'Reillys and they will test the computer for you. It should have set a code, but you don't know if the code light works so its your best bet. Sounds like it is running rich and the crankshaft module is not advancing the timing.
