Laverda, in their infinite wisdom decided to;

  • Under power the starter motor (good quality but a bit minimalist)
  • Use electrical connectors that are not the best fit into the back of the starter solenoid
  • Use a side stand down cut out relay that is very prone self destruction even with gentle care and use.
  • Use clutch with plates that stick together (common on other makes too though)
  • and, for 650/668 engines they used a fragile spring to hold the starter clutch assembly together (even we agree this was just plain rubbish)

So we suggest that your first start of the day should be as follows. It is a preventative help measure not a MUST DO.

  1. Sit on bike.
  2. Put up side stand.
  3. Turn off headlights completely.
  4. Pull clutch in.
  5. Put bike in first gear.
  6. Roll bike backwards to break the clutch free.
  7. Put the bike in neutral.
  8. Tap start button (do not hold it on).
The bike should now start without hesitation. If it doesn't start right away tap it again once or twice. However do not hold the starter button in for more than a few seconds. Very high current is being drawn and things could start to melt.
In extreme cases, perhaps after prolonged storage, it may be necessary to help the bike out a little. After freeing the clutch plates leave the bike in gear, release the clutch, and roll the bike back until you meet firm resistance. Like trying to bump-start a bike with a flat battery, giving the starter motor a good one and a half turns of run up before trying to get the bike over compression will ease its task.

1998 problems with laverda 750s why does my bike not start first time and keeps cutting out, what are the most common problems with this model and how do i fix it

The most common complaints are the poor gas mileage, weak electric starter, not as fast off the line as the Japanese bikes, slower top end speed, top heavy and not a good commuter bike. Additionally, dealers are few and far between. Install new spark plugs, clean the air filter, clean or at least drain the carbs to remove any water in the float bowls. Do a compression check to see if the valves need to be re-seated.

Cloneing

First you need to have beaten the elite four and gotton a battle pass. You also need two pokemon eligible for a battle in battle tower. (though you will not need to actually battle.)
1. have the pokemon in the box and an empty space in your party.
2. save
3. take the pokemon out of the box. DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY POKEMON OR THEY WILL BE LOST!!!
4. go to the multi-linked battle room in the battle tower and enter ANY to pokemon for battle.
5. the lady will ask you if it's okay to save the game. Say yes.
6. there will be a pause for a couple seconds...
7. the standard save menu will appear. say NO and turn off the game. you DO NOT need to turn off the game while it is saving; simply say yes to the lady and no to the game.
when you turn the game back on the pokemon will be in the box AND in your party. it will have the same item, same level, a shiny will be shiny. pokerus is kept. it is THE SAME pokemon,

What tyres for Zane 750 Sport?

and was wondering if other Zane riders have a view on what's good/not good? I'm looking for something most suitable for fast winding road use rather than mainly track. I had Dunlop 207's on mine and recently switched to Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa SC 2's. The the SC's are amazing,,
