Reserver Tank Switch Setting

I have a 2009 V-Star 650 Classic and I can't tell if the reserve tank switch is on or off. It points straight up and down (north and south) but the text on the switch say's that reserve on is on the left (west) which is only half a turn of the lever.
Does anyone have an owners manual or good diagram?

SOURCE: how to lower the idle on a 2002 yamaha 650 v-star classic?

under the left side of the gas tank you will see i black knob/screw at the end of what looks like a hose. the knob faces the rear of bike. that adjusts the idle. its real easy to find and the only adjustment you can make to the carbs.

SOURCE: Fuel Reserve switch

Typically there are three positions to choose from. On means you are using the main tank. Reserve means reserve tank and off means no fuel available from either tank. the off setting is used when trailering your bike.

My engine cooling module or radiator assembly will not hold its fluid. It is back filling into my reserver tank. The fluid makes my reserver tank fluid boil. The gages says that the car is not...

Your radiator might be air bound or clogged. When the car gets up to temperature and the thermostat opens shut the car off and try to feel all the corners of the rad. if its cool in any spot you might need a flush or new radiator. (When thermostat opens let car run for about 5 min before shutting down) Hope this helps
