coleman 6250, AC power generator gas. 10HP
WX 6250???
does it matter with 2 pins, no.
I just sold one , last week.
100% perfect.
and have full documents on it. i came with manual new in box and wiring and parts list there, lost the manual did you already?
the one switch on most gens is SPST , 2 PIN SWITCH.
IT JUST KILLS SPARK..
IS THAT THE REAL MODEL # OR JUST WATTS
ALL GENERATORS HAVE TAG AND SHOWS TRUE MODELS#
should be metal
parts to replace are the metal tap
take the tank out and clean out
use a fuel conditioner to clean out the mould
check for rust holes in the bottom of the tank
no not use e-mix fuels as the ethanol separates , collects water from the air and causes mould, rust and corrosion
Dirty evaporator coil, dirty air filter, weak blower motor windings, weak blower motor capacitor, wrong blower speed, leaking or broken ductwork, uninsulated ductwork, gas valve pressure needs adjusting(low fire)? Might be any or all of the above.
Most PowerMate manuals are available here: http://www.powermate.com/productmanuals.php?cat_id=3 . However, describing it as the PowerMate 6250 10 HP generator is insufficient to find the correct manual. The Coleman PowerMate line has several models with 10 HP engines and a 6250 Starting Watt (5000 W running) capacity.
If its new, SOME generators will not start unless at least 3/4 full of gas. Spark plugs secured all the way in? Gas switch on? Pull the choke? NO MORE starting fluid, Bad Louie, BAD! some of the suggestions i posted above may help :) but, no more starting fluid.
If it is B&S he spring is to hold up the plastic float housing to keep a tight seal to base of carb. Sits in the center of the bottom of the plastic piece and the bottom of the bowl.
If it is not the suggested gasket that is leaking then it is the oil pressure switch located exactly above the oil filter adapter. The black plastic housing could have developed a crack and oil will ooze downward and drip off the bottom of the adapter. I had this problem and changing the oil pressure switch took care of it.
