After riding the bike for 20 minutes and owning it for 2 days, it win't turn over and start. It is a 2006 Silverado and was in the showroom for a while. Ran a little rough at first, but got into its groove. Now when I have everything checked and press the starter button, it clicks over, acts like it might start then.... well it doesn't. Battery?

Mcdevito75 here, You should have a warranty even bought from the showroom, bring it back and let the dealer look at it, maybe the dealer prep wasn"t done at the toime of purchase.

My 2006 streetbob keeps miss firing when idleing and when I ride it changed plugs and wires and got a hd mechanic to analize it on a computer and still nothing. I took it to another shop and still they...

Don't let your bike just sit there idling. The choke circuit is needed for initial start-up.
If you leave the choke on, when it warms up a little, the choke circuit is putting to much fuel into the cylinders. The added fuel doesn't get fully ignited and just sits in the exhaust pipes. When you get on the throttle, the unburned fuel in the pipes gets ignited and explodes, causing the backfire.
Use the choke to get the bike running. You should be able to start riding after less than a 1/2 minute. And during that time the oil is well circulated to lube all internal parts.
As you're ridding, slowly turn the choke off in increments. As soon as the bike will idle on it's own, the choke should be off to prevent an over rich mixture and foul the plugs.
Plus you're well into your ride and have saved a little on gas mileage.

Yamaha XV17 Runs For A Minute - Then Dies

The dealer is not interested.
The bike is set up very lean to meet emissions standards. Any of them will benefit from larger jets. It's probably running too lean.

Recent problem

I have just accquired the same bike in showroom condition (less than 150km) Since it has been kept in a display showroom for 9 years, the lubricants and some parts are expired ( although they still look brand new) . I´ll be ordering replacement parts, apart from getting new tires, I have decided to up grade the air & oil filters to K&N,put in a Yoshimura RS3 Can for that extra touch . You saying I should go for O.E. and not risk engine recalibration? I do know that the Carbs on these bikes are tricky... Can you advise me on your tire size too? I´m thinking of going 1 size wider in the front 130/65. Or is the original size good enuf.
