Try disconnecting the kill switch. If it fires, replace the switch.

Check spark plug cap. It screws into the wire. Give it a turn clockwise and check again for spark. If not, unscrew it counter-clockwise and look at the small core of wire ends in the middle. Those will over time break and cause inadequate connection. Use some wire cutters and snip about 1/4 inch off the end and screw the cap back on.

If still nothing, you need to check the coil resistance and the stator. Eliminating everything else is the only way to diagnose a bad cdi.

Hi there I'm stuck I don't know how to check the

Sorry but they either work or they dont.
If yours isn't working, replace it.
But before you replce it consider checking the other components, because ign mods are exspensive.
it sounds like you've been already checking the other stuff. heres what i'd check if your bike came to my shop.
1. battery fully charged, and can take a load. (weak batteries = weak ign power)
i have a bike that won't fire at all with weak battery. Make sure battery is good.
2. check for spark at plugs, make sure plugs are good. Pull plugs and turn motor over.
rest plug next to head and turn over, do not touch the plug while turning over
or you can be shocked.look for spark.
if you have spark , then you ign mod is working.
if no spark, then check #3
3. power to coils. check the power going into coils,
if power but no spark, then coil is bad.
if no power. check #4
4. power to coils comes from a ignition system ( points/ cdi /ign. module)
there is a stator and a rotor. and a signal generator. on your motor
the signal generator wire sends a signal to the cdi, every time the rotor rotates.
the ignition system (ign.mod) sends power to coil.
so if no signal to the cdi, then signal generator is bad
if signal going into cdi but not sending the power to the coils then the cdi/ ign. mod is bad.

Hope that helps

I have a Honda XR200 1990, I have spark but it's a

Hi.
It's either your coil or CDI thats at fault.
Download yourself a copy of the service manual from the internet and measure the coil resistance values that are quoted in the manual.(how and where to measure is usually shown in all good manuals)
If these are correct then its most likely your CDI.
Your Honda dealership should be able to test this for you, but this may cost as much as a second hand CDI.
The CDI on the XR200 is the same as a lot of models eg. cb125, cd125 .
You will find quite a few on ebay , both new and second hand , make sure you get the same model as already in use (number should be on the CDI)
good luck

Where is the spark plug located on a klx 110?

It is almost underneath the plastic where the fuel tank meets the seat. You will see it at the top of the engine block with an HT lead on the back of it. You might need to take one plastic off to get to it.

Change the HT lead too if you have the cash. Best to match the ignition parts with the same age parts.

Hope this helps and vote for me please: )

How do you do clutch alignment on 2007 KLX 110? Is there a certain way to align them?

no special way, they just sit in the clutch basket, make sure you use an oil designed for motorbikes, car oils will make the clitch slip
