The noise is most likely caused by the different wear pattern on the tire that came from the rear of the car. The difference in the alignment between the front and rear suspension systems causes the tires to wear accordingly. It will take some time for the tires to wear in to their new environment. The noise should go away gradually. You should also check your tire pressure to make sure you don't have an improperly inflated tire.

HERE IS THE REAL QUESTION YOU SHOULD ASK OF THE DEALERS WHO ARE OFFERING 17" OR 18" TYRES FOR A TYRE SIZE THAT DOES NOT FIT YOUR EXISTING WHEELS......HAVE YOU GOT 17" OR 18"WHEELS???......225/45 ARE GOOD.

both tires will fit on the 15 inch rim
But be advised make sure you have same size tires on the drive wheels being as your car is front wheel drive u want both the front tires to be the same size
if this is not done u will burn up your transmission
if you have to put a odd ball tire on put it on the rear

exact opposite is true for rear wheel drive car on a rear wheel drive car u want both rear tires to be the same size

Some tire pressure monitoring systems don't care if the wheels were put back on in the same position they were in originally.Unfortunately I think Subaru's do.If the light hasn't turned within a few miles of driving you will need to have your monitoring system reset.Most tire shops have the needed scanners but if they don't,do you Have a Discount Tire in your area? The last I heard they do this for free.Good Luck!

you have a computer for your control on your car. It is set up so only the factory front and rear tires sizes will work, any change, it picks it up. this should solve the problem.
