What are the tyre pressures on a suzuki sv650 2004 motorcycle? I have metzelder tyres, 120/70 zr 17 front, 160/60 zr 17 back.

The front tyre has 36 psi
The rear tyre has 42 psi

i use 36 on a 190 55 18 on my busa 2 all round

tire size front 100/90/19 pressure 1.75 bar
rear tyre 130/90/17 pressure 2.0 bar

hi, in there wisdome kawasaki played around with tyre sizes on the zx6r ninja,

tyre size rear 160/60/17.
tyre size front 120/60/17 1995-98 models zx600f

rear. 170/60/17
front 120/60/17 1998-2000 models zx600-g1

rear 180/55/17
front 120/65/17 2000-01 models zx600j

the only thing they didnt play around with is the tyre pressures all models front 36psi or 2.5 bar
rear 41psi or 2.9 bar

hi, the tyre pressures below are for the models outlined in brackets.

TDM 850, (A)(CH) 1996-2000, WITH TYRE SIZES FRONT 110/80/18 = 2.25BAR OR 33psi

REAR 150/70/17 = 2.75BAR OR 40psi

There should be specs on the side wall of the tire for what weight you are loading the bike. normally 36 to 42 lbs

A couple of things... are the tyres matched? You said you have changed the rear and the front is worn - this will definitely have an effect on handling, as will tyre pressures. The correct sizes for your tyres are: Front 120/70 ZR-17, Rear 180/55 ZR-17
You should ALWAYS use matched tyres - even differences between models in the same brand will be different and you shouldn't mix and match unless you are an expert - and I mean a real expert - pro racer or similar.
Tyre pressures for your bike are : 36psi front and rear. Unless your tyre manufacturer says different, use that figure. Unless all those things are right, you can't begin to diagnose handling issues.

As always, correct pressure depends on the tyre fitted but if it is running with the standard tyres that it had fitted from new then:
Single rider: Front is 1.75 bar (25 PSI) Rear 2.0 (29 PSI)
Fully loaded (Panniers and or pillion passenger) Front 2.0 bar (29 PSI) Rear 2.25 bar (32 PSI)

These settings from the book for a 2006 model, though I imagine that they apply to all with very little if any variation
