I just bought my ZX-12R and I do not have a service manual for it. I want to service it but am not familiar with the bike. I need to know how much oil and what kind to put in and how to check oil level, same with the coolant.

Most oils will work, you want about 10W30 weight. you will either have a dipstick on the filler cap, or most kawasakis have a sight glass on the engine case with level markers. you will probly need to remove the fairing pannels to do this job. the coolant should have a small reserve bottle with level markers on it, if not open radiator cap with engine cold, and it should be full.

Rough idiling

21,000 is a lot of miles for a motorcycle spark plug. Your valves might need adjusted - I don't know if Kawasaki has solids or hydraulic in this model. Your carbs might be in need of adjustment. When was your last tune up? If you don't remember, it is time for a little TLC for the bike, my friend. Your motorcycle is 9 years old now ... it is time for service.

Restarting problem when bike is above temp.

sounds like the fuel is being evaporated by the heat hence hard to start when hot, but when it cools down enough the fuel is not effected, check fuel filter & fuel pump pressure,

My zx-12 turns off after running for a while?

Sounds like your charging system is failing. You should have 12 volts on a battery when not running, and around 13.5 or so while running. Check it with a meter if you can.
