Headlight shorts out when bike is running, i have replaced two bulbs now.

Have you tried removing the headlight unit from the bike, detaching all the wires for the headlight? After that you should have a clear view of the backside of the bulb, on the rear of the headlight unit. To take it out you have to apply gentle downward pressure and turn the bulb counter-clockwise (looking from the backside). It should then unlock and be removed easily.

Initially, suggested checks using a testlight (preferably, rather than a voltmeter) with the ignition switch ON:

• +12 on either the white or the blue wire from the headlight dimmer switch to the headlight bulb/socket while engaging LO/HI switch;
• if no +12, check voltage on blue/white going to the dimmer coming from the start button switch;
• if no +12, check black/red wire coming from the 10A fuse in the fusebox going to the start button switch.
• if +12 on the black/red but no +12 on the blue/white, faulty starter switch.
