No you do not, there will be a small plastic cover over the door mounted tweeter.

Squeeze it with your fingers and you should be able to pop it right off.

There are two screws on the speaker and the others should be visible on removal of the speaker itself.

I suggest you bring a soldering iron or a pair of wire cutters because the speaker wiring is soldered on the speaker and the speaker will not fall back through the speaker frame.

SOURCE: trying to replace driver side mirror on dodge caliber sxt electric mirror

if you open the door you can pop off 2 pieces of plastic that reveal 3 bolts. 3/16 (i think)socket works and you will need an extender. but it is literally 3 bolts and that is it. i bought the part from a dealer and it was $40 and they wanted $90 for install. took me 15 min.

SOURCE: Passenger side mirror replacement procedures

If its a power mirror there is more thing you will have to remove to get to the wires but if not there is a screw on the corner piece on the inside of the door. just pull the screw out and the bolts (3) that hold the mirror on are behind it. If it power then you will have to remove the door panel to access the wiring to disconnect it

My 2002 mercury villager just cut off on me as i was driving down the road. also the radio does not come on in any of the ignition positions. the van will crank but will not start.

I have a 2002 villager estate I just got, and the power seat on the dirvers side will not work, along with the power mirrors. I think it is related to the memory seats, since that controls both. Has anyone else had this problem. Also, the fan on the A/C only works on 4 and the other switch for where the air comes out doesn\'t work. Anyone else? the drivers window switch only puts the window up if you pull really hard on it.

Mercury Villager headlight assembly diagaram for removal

This is easy. Lift the lid open. Look at the back of the sealed beam and you will see a clip and an o ring. Pull the clip up and pull wires back toward the driver's seat. Unscrew the o ring and firmly pull the bulb out toward the driver again. Note the 3 tabs on the bulb seat and realign the new bulb with those tab ( 2 bottom, 1 top). Replace with #9007 bulbs..do them both.
