SOURCE: the bike was stolen, replaced the ignition lock, now won't start

well it depends on what kinda of bike your talking about.like on my cbr600rr it has a tip over switch which wont send spark to the engine and you have to replace it.some bikes you can just reset the ecu.i would get a service manual and find out how to reset the ecu and also see if it has a tip over switch.

Most likely there is something wrong with the kickstand switch - have it checked. Then remove the pump and test it separately on the bench.
If both are good then you had a short in the wiring from the water - have the entire harness tested.

SOURCE: 2008 yamaha r6 wont start i put in a new ignition now my fuel pump wont ingage and my neutral light wont come on for some reason my bike will not start or turn over what is wrong and how do i fix

Good Morning,. I found this for you.. worth a shot:

  • verify that the main fuse is not blown. It would be inside the starter relay. To locate the starter relay, follow the cable from the battery's + terminal;
  • if the battery and the main fuse checks good, then check the voltage on the red wire from the starter relay to the ignition switch;
  • do the same and check for the presence of +12 to the brown wire from the ignition switch to the CDI.
  • Best regards

Hi sounds like your nearly there ,try swapping hose around ,I once mixed the in and out ,next did you take the carbs apart and clean ,also a small shot of wd 40 in to the fuel pump without hose connected then pour out ,from what I read sound pretty good kid best of luck
