You have to leave it in the on position until the light stops flashing and then turn the car all the way to the off position then start it it works everytime for me make sure your radio and everything if off so it wont drain your battery
Im just gonna take a stab in the dark here i understand that your security light is on try unlocking your door with your key sometimes you just need to reset the security. otherwise ive seen a security module go bad that may be preventing you from starting it.
I had the problem with the security light flashing, but my battery never went dead when I was waiting those 10 mins. Maybe you need a new battery first. I had to do the 10 min wait a for about a month and then the light just stays on, but it starts now with no problem.
