Motorcycle revs up when handle bars are turned

What kind of motorcycle is it? does it use 2 cables? if so, the idle cable is probably too tight. there should be an 1/8 in free play when bars are straight. the throttle should snap back after u turn it wide open and let go in all positions.

How many turns of the carburetor air fuel screw is the best setting for yamaha fz16? All stock parts, no modification made on the motorcycle yet.

The air screw on any motorcycle is adjusted to obtain the highest, smooth idle then turn in about 1/4 turn. This is the ideal setting for this screw. Simply put - this screw alters your pilot jetting and has very little effect on anything other than idle to about 1200-1500 RPM.
