My poulan wild thing 2375 bogs out when throttle

My poulan wild thing 2375 bogs out when i try to throttle it. What are the carb settings (the high and low jets) ( idle screw) so when i throttle it it wont bog out. i will turn the jets all the way in and take the idle screw out so if you could give me the adjustments based on that, that would be appreciated. HELP!

Ok good place to start is close both hi low screws the open as follows low 1 an 1/4 turn hi 1 an 1/2 turn start saw when you pull throttle it should rev quickly with no hesitation if not gradually adjust in until this is achieved then hold wide open saw should run with slight gurgle at top end NOT scream out of control to much blubber and no power to much scream no power and catastrophic engine failure is a real possiblity

Make sure that the air cleaner and muffler are not plugged. Check the carburetor screws and nuts for tightness. After turning both needles CW to stops (lightly), back them out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Open the throttle and adjust the H needle CW somewhat until the engine speeds up, but is 4-stroking. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW till the engine runs fairly smoothly, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Set the idle speed screw so that the chain doesn't turn, but the engine keeps running. Hope this helps!

Poulan Pro Wild Thing will only run with choke out. Carb has been fully rebuilt and new lines added. As soon as throttle is pulled and choke pops off, engine dies. Any recommendations/suggestions? Thanks,...

If not already done replace the fuel filter in the tank, it is obviously fuel starvation, if no better increase the the fuel mixture on the H and L screws ( turn anti clockwise 1/4 turn on each to start with)

I have a Poulan wild thing 4018. Just replaced the main frame. Had to take apart the whole saw almost. Now the saw will crank but runs at very high speed for a few seconds and then quits. I can goose...

Make sure youmhave connected the primer hoses correctly, the shorter of the two connections on the back of the primer ( suction ) goes to the carb, this pulls fuel from the carb, the longer connection dumps fuel back to the tank, if you removed the cylinder end cap, you need to re seal this to the cylinder with instant gasket, also make sure the air tube between the cylinder and carb is correctly seated.

It cuts out at full throttle.

Check the muffler and air cleaner for plugging. Try turning the H jet needle CCW about 1/2 to 3/4 turn which should make it 4-stroke at full throttle. Proper setting is for the engine to 4-stroke at full throttle, but immediately 2-stroke when cutting. (CW turning of H makes it leaner) See a Poulan servicing dealer for a rebuild kit. Be sure to check the fuel filter in the tank for plugging. Hope this helps!

How to set carborator adjustment on Poulan Wild Thing 2375?

hello, the starting point for adjustment screws is 2 turns out.turn in til lightly seated so as not to damage them. there are 2 or more style carbs used on saw, some have plastic caps that need to be removed(a small metal screw used as a corkscrew or pry off) or you need a special tool -splined.set high spped til runs good and back off an 1/8-1/4 turn so you dont burn it up. fine tune low spped so it accelerates when trigger squeezed and re check high speed adjustment.single screw is for idle spped-raises or lowers-if chain turns while at idle back off screw.

Poulan Wild thing 2375 will not stay running

Try checking the muffler. Some models have a screen that will get clogged with carbon and the saw won't keep running. Clean the screen with a wire brush.

2375 ''wild thing'' poulan saw hard starting after carb rebuild

Through trial and error on fairly new Poulin Pro, found that the usual 3-half turns for both high and low was too much (flooded) (Used to be good starting point on weed eaters years ago. So, turned both all the way in, and only backed out 1-full turn. (2-halves) Saw fired up perfectly, and ran wide open just fine. Try that.
