No ball bearings between the cases, only alignment dowels, hollow in the center.if you have ball bearings they have to be missing from one of the internal bearings

Do you have to disassemble the transmission to split the crank case?

Yes you need to split cases to check the transmission and once you've spitted the cases, it is best to renew the bearings cause is quite a trouble to do that again soon if any of the bearing are about to go bad.

Splitting the case on an 02 rm 125 got all the bolts visible on outer case just wondering if theres bolts under the clutch housing to be undone before i split

Normaly you can remove the left crankcase on its own, however if it is proving difficult to split it is possibly tight in the crankshaft main bearing, you will need to remove the clutch at some point during this rebuild so do it now while you have the stability of the engine cases , undo the nut securing the crankshaft pinion on the r/ h side, the crankshaft is often easyer to remove from this bearing, also it is easyer to reasemble the engine and gearbox when previously dismantled correctly. I have a 2000 kdx 220r the piston skirt broke cylinder is ok but skirt pieces in case do i have to split case or can i dig them out

Sorry, chances are you will never be able to fully flush the particles out without splitting the cases. Might as well change bearings at the same time, etc., etc....

How do i change the crank seals on my 1982 suzuki RM125 can it be done without spliting the case thanks Scott

Take a look at a new set of seals, if they do not have a raised lip around the outer sealing surface, you should be able to gently pry out the old seals and press in the new ones. If they do have the raised O-ring style lip around the outside edge, you will have to split the cases to put the seals in. Some people replace raised lip seals with flat outside edge seals, they may not seal as well, and they have a greater chance of popping out, but they are easy to install. The real problem here is prying out the old raised lip seals with out damaging the case. If you have to split the case to get them out you may as well put in the good seals. At any rate, if the seals have flat outside edges you do not have to split the cases.

My logitech trackball is sluggish and erratic. Does it need to be replaced?

Hello.

Give it a cleaning, first before replacing.

If there is not a retaining ring, the ball should just pop out. If there is a retaining ring, turn it counter-clockwise to remove it. There may be a hole in the bottom that lets you push the ball out. Inside, there are two things you need to clean.

Look for three little bearings about the size and shape of a BB. They will probably be covered with fuzz, so they may look like little felt pads. Carefully brush away the fuzz. Be careful because if you pop one of those bearings out, it is next to impossible to get it back in.

There should also be a little black rectangle. This is the window that the sensor looks at the ball through. Clean it with a damp cloth or Q-Tip. Don't use any other cleaner since it could fog the window.

Hope this helps.

Having trouble getting the gears to select down

Since the shifting was okay prior to splitting the cas, chances are one or both of the positioning pins fell out. If this happened, the cases are not lined up correctly.

Suzuki 125rm manual

Find a manual by Googling " Motorcycle service manuals "
or go to www.repairmanuals.com

Installing new crank bearings is not a simple task. you will need a 3/8" impact driver, flywheel puller, case splitter and torque wrench. The top end comes off then the side cases, flywheel, flywheel electrics, clutch, shifter shaft, Crank drive gear and output shaft sprocket.

Split the case leaving the gears on the shafts and the shift drum and forks in place but out of the gearbox. Remove the crank and then remove the bearings from the crank or from the center casings depending on where they decide to stay when the case splits. Remove the crank seals from each center case half. Install new seals then install new bearings into the center casings.

Now just put everything back together.
By the way, now would be a good time to stick in a new output shaft (sprocket) bearing and seal. Be sure the OHC is timed correctly when installing the cam chain. Bad timing = bent valves.

How do i fix the main bearing on a suzuki 125rm?

a manual is recomended and yes you will have to split the case and remove all of your gears you will also need some special tools to pull things appart do not attempt this without a manual and make sure not to put gears in the wrong spot when reasembeling the motor, good luck I have done several main bearings in bikes I have owned over the years it is not a job for an amature mechanic. no offence
