TL1000R bike won't start

Bike was running fine. took it for a run and it was normal. parked it for an hour or so then went to start it. green neutral light on instrument panel came on but nothing else on panel showing. Battery is brand new and fully charged. When I press starter button there is nothing - dead, not even a click from the solenoid! Engine doesn't turn over at all. Fuel pump is priming as usual. Headlights come on as normal.

There is an electrical switch that senses when the transmission is in neutral. The switch may be defective causing this problem. Check the electrical connections to this switch. If they seem to be secure, replacement of the switch may be warranted.

1998 Honda Goldwing will not start nothing.

Sort of sounds like a Twilight Zone kind of problem doesn't it. I would have the battery checked for an internal dead short. This is something that happens on odd occasions and can happen even to a new battery. Yea, the little lights will work ( they do not draw much juice ), but the starter motor draws a lot of juice and a shorted battery just ain't got it. Also check the wiring harness connections. One loose connection can cause bunches of trouble.
