There is an alternator in the flywheel, a set of magnets that spin around with the engine and generate enough electricity to charge the battery back up after starting and keep it charged up. If your battery is weak, dieing, not charging, it is probably the battery. Check the electrolytes in the battery, one dead cell is a dead battery. One of those floaty ball battery testers will tell you. If your charge light comes on, your alternator may be weak, rare, but possible. Hope this helps.
