My riva jog Yamaha 1990 doesn't start up when I push the start buttom every morning. I have to kick start about 15-20 times to get it starter. It always seems to start a few seconds and dies off right away then I have to keick start again. I have change the battery and have it tune up a few months back and didn't help fix the problem. So every morning I have to jump start it with electrical jumper connected to 110v but doesn't help and I have to kick start it eveytime. Please help...
First things first .Remove your spark plugs ,Place them on the cylinders head .push the kick starter and watch t see if the plugs are sparking, and if the thev spark is strong or weak .If the plugs are sparking OK then check that you are getting petrol to them .It could be a nimber of problems wrong with your bike .You may have a fuel & air problem .or it may be that your choke unit is not closing properly when you try to start first thing .try your plugs first then the fuel ,Is your air cleaner blocked .You may have blocked jets in the carbs .
