My K5 was running OK until today . It had been stood up over the winter and the battery had to be charged about a week ago as it had gone flat. But the bike was running OK after that. Today I took it out and was running OK , I then took it up to about 12000RPM before I had only been going up to about 7000 RPM. Now it runs uneven and has lost power below about 6000RPM but seems to go OK above this. Any ideas

If the bike was stored the fuel could be stale, use some fuel stabilizer or drain and refill. Check the spark plugs to see if they have fueled up because of the stale fuel.

Possibly you need to recharge your battery. if you set it on the bear floor, it has a tendency to draw down the charge in the battery. It also will loose the charge if it was low wneh you retired it for the winter.

Just replaced my battery in 04' Buick Ranier two weeks ago....battery dead again today, will jump and run ok until it's cut off again, then have to have another jump?

Check the see what the voltage is at the battery with the engine running. You should see around 14 volts. If you see charging voltage than I would check the electrical system for draws. This needs to be done with a volt meter capable of reading amperage. If you have one and are familiar with how Ito use it I can explain the process.

Can't start my Honda CB400-Four 1997. Battery seems to be ok. Could it be the Regulator/Rectifier? It has been lying up over the winter. It did start a couple of weeks ago, cut out and hasn't

if the headlight dies right out when you crank the motor then the battery is usually dead. It may read on a voltmeter that it has 12 volts but that does not necessarily mean the battery is charged.Have the battery checked and charged properly then try and start the bike again.Regards

Hi the battery is flat on my speed triple its

hi might be able to help,if the bike has been stood for a while and the battery is flat, you will need to either slow charge the battery(if it will accept a charge) or replace it,jumping the battery will only give the battery a surface charge and will not be adequate to run all of your electronics effectively, this may be why the engine management light is staying in,hope this helps..cheers

Driving along and the car just stops. enough

You mite have an ignition module problem but it sounds like your fuel pump is not working. Have some one turn the ignition on as you listen for the pump switching on

New battery on new bike,it kills the batterys in 2 days

Either you have a dead short in your wireing or your battery is not charging fully. Use a volt meter your battery will have 12 volts start the bike and it should read 13 plus then take it up to 2000 rpm above idle anyway it should read 14 plus. If you dont have these numbers then you have a stator or regulator problem or both. You may be geting a slight charge when running but not enough to keep the battery peaked out.
