O.k easy one this .First get good motorcycle oil 15/40 semi synthetic and a new oil filter first, never use car oil. Warm the engine up to get good oil flow. Remove the oil drain plug at the bottom of the engine, dont loose the seal washer. drain the oil into a container, and remove the oil filter as well. replace washer and oil plug do not over tighten, hard hand pressure only with quality spanner. fill oil filter with oil and oil `O`ring with oil to replace by tight hand pressure only no tools. Fill engine oil through oil filler cap to correct level between the two marks on the dip stick, bike must be up-right for best accuracy of oil level. There done.

My new 80 gallon Craftsman Professional air compressor's oil turned dark right away. I changed the oil and it happened again. Is there a problem? Thanks, Trevor

Problem sounds like the type of oil being used. The oil should be a gold color. It will get dark over time but not like oil in a car. Check your owners manual to be sure that the right oil is being used.

Compressors use a 30 weight non detergent oil. If you don't have a manual Go to any Sears Home and garden Department and they will be able to help you.

2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oil Light at Low RPMS.

could be the oil pump, but before you get to that, whens the last time you had you oil changed? is it the right type? was the filter changed to? if the oil is to thick for your engine, the pump could be having a problem pushing it. If its dirty, same thing applies. Next time you change your oil, be sure to use a full synthetic. its a superior oil all around.

Starting a pilot light on a hot water heater

Hi blaineandhea,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your statement is: You ran out of oil,so got more oil in tank.blead the lines.but now you cant get pilot to start

Every oil burner I ever worked on had a type of spark ignition. No standing pilot. If this is the case for you then the only reason it won't turn on is that the lines weren't properly bled. It only takes a little bubble to ruin the day. Don't be afraid to blead lots of oil, you should be catching it anyway to put back in the tank.

Convection/microwave/fan above stove unit--cannot figure it out

Hi belson,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You bought a Kenmore Elite Advantium 120 tech model from Sears about a year ago and you cannot find the manual and you have no idea how to perform any of the functions. You did manage to set the clock. It is not user friendly and you need a new manual or some directions. Thanks.

It has been my experience that this company will be happy to help. The next time you're at the store just tell the appliance sales rep your problem and he'll make sure you get a manual.

Hi gwmkjm,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your question is: YOUR BOSCH DISHWASHER MODEL #SHU43C06UC/17 WILL NOT START. NONE OF THE LIGHTS TURN ON AS IF THERE IS NO POWER GETTING TO IT. YOU HAVE CHECKED THE POWER CORD AND THE BREAKER BOX AND EVERYTHING IS O.K., BUT YOU STILL CAN NOT GET IT TO TURN ON. AT ONE TIME THE LED LIGHT LIT UP FOR A BRIEF SECOND, BUT NEVER AGAIN. ANY OTHER SUGGESTION?

Yes. 9 times out of 10 it's a loose or broken wire in the d/w junction box under the d/w behind the kick plate on the right. Make sure to turn off the electric before you expose the wirenuts. Remove them and install new.

No power, not working

Hi lynnland,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: no power, not working

First check breaker (fuzes), if breaker is good then check the connection at the d/w. It's under the d/w behind the kick plate on right or center under a cover box. 9 times out of 10 you'll find a loose, broken or burnt connection there. That done, it's time to call in warranty repair. If beyond warranty you might consider utilizing the Repair Directory to find a repairman. If the d/w has a few years on it perhaps it is time to compare the cost of repair verses replacement.

Water leaks from door

Hi dec507,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: you have a Caloric Model CD4 200 CWW and water leaks on the right side of the door. The gasket seem to be worn.

The gasket is easy to replace but you should also check the d/w for level. I mean horizontal, vertical and front back. Over time they can get out of level enough to cause a problem.

Ideal c24

Hi Jurgie,
I'm Harvey, the Master Plumber,
Happy to render my assistance.

This is your problem!
When you are switching on the boiler it ignites for 8 to 10 seconds, then it cuts off and the lock out lamp comes on. Pressing the reset button or turning on the hot water tap has the same effect.

I need to get the make and model of your specific boiler to give you an accurate answer!
Waiting for your response.
Harvey, your Master Plumber.
