Take out pump unit and test pump unit off the bike if pump runs then there is a wiring fault on the bike .if pump does not work .you need a replacement .,

Check and see if the fuel pump is being powered up, if not check the fuel pump relay. If the fuel pump is getting power then the pump is almost certainly defective
You probably have had this fixed already. Using voltmeter check to be sure voltage is supplied to wiring at fuel pump(located under access under rear seat) If no voltage throught the wiring. Check hot to body ground anywhere. If voltage present you have a faulty ground. If no voltage again- try FUSE or track the wiring back to find a rub spot causing short. Taking for granted you checked pump before install to be sure it worked.
just because the fuel pump clicks when u turn the key doesnt mean its not going bad, have you had it changed, or the fuel filter changed since u purchased the vehicle?
not a throttle valve, but the float needle valve that shuts the fuel off with the float. the only cure for the sticking floay valve is to remove the carb and clean it.
Squirt some starting fluid in the intake if it starts and then dies yes its a fuel delivery problem. If it doesnt start at all check for spark at the plug wires then at the coil. If you have spark and fuel then it could be a number of things could be timing or crank sensor tps to name a few hope this will get you started at least.
yes you should be able to hear the fuel pump run for about 5 seconds once the key is turned to the on pos. check to make sure you have spark. if you do try having someone spray air intake or carb cleaner into intake manifold while you crank. If the truck starts right up for a second (or stays running as you keep spraying) Id say you have a bad fuel pump and id change the sending unit also. (First check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay) GMC and Chevy are nororiously known for having bad fuel pump/sending unit problems. I have prob changed over 60 myself.
Take ur suv to the nearest high point...Get out of the suv, put it in neutral..and firmly push off of cliff. Problems solved. report it stolen the next morning.
check the fuel pump relay and if it is good then you may have to replace the fuel pump in the gas tank and also check the wires at the top of the gas tank
