My garmin 1300 series will not load maps, it

When I turn on my gps it will not load, it flashes a white screen and turns off, whether it is on the charger or not...

    My GPS system worked great for my trip. Now my garmin will not get past the "loading maps" screen.
    I do not have an SD Card for my PGS, so I am unable to reload anything...What Can I do?

it should show "loading maps" try reset by holding down finger on bottom right hand corner of screen before you power up, and go to www.garmin.com for software update, if not contact supplier for fix/replacement
